The client is a psychologist in private practice near Cleveland, Ohio who wanted to build a brand and platform for her writer's persona. She recently completed a manuscript for her first non-academic book and needed the book professionally prepared for self-publishing through Amazon. The book needed to appear professionally designed in an effort to compete with traditionally published non-fiction books.
I worked with her editor to correctly typeset the book with all of the proper front and back matter. I also designed the book cover to reflect her new brand identity. We discovered that her favorite color was orange and that she wanted her celebrity doctor logo symbol to incorporate some type of painterly effect. Once the book files were completed for both the print and Kindle (epub) versions, I immediately began planning her promotional strategy and designing her brand communications, including her website, email marketing platform, social media, and print materials.
The 'NLM' in the orange logo symbol are the client's actual hand-written initials.

An inside spread from the completed print version of the book.
I created all of the graphics for the website, planned the navigation, wrote and edited much of the content, and provided the client with an intuitive CMS so that she could make edits and update changeable content as needed.
This is a combination business card and appointment card for the client's private practice.
